About the LongSwims Archive

The LongSwims Archive is a repository of primary source documents related to the history of Long Distance Open Water Swimming (marathon swimming).

It is a complementary project to the LongSwims Database: While the Database focuses on quantifiable facts (dates, times, distances), the Archive organizes qualitative, unstructured information such as newspaper articles and narrative reports.
